49 Ways to Unravel the World: Work

Synopsis

COLLABORATION WITH MY FRIEND L.O.

In a world of monarchs, swords, and of course, "advanced" interplanetary travel, four teenagers must learn to master their unique - and in some cases absurd - abilities in time to stop a war that could put the entire world in danger.

****

The Treskon twins have mixed feelings about leaving their home planet to train at the school on Jadidon. Snapdragon is eager to show off their dueling prowess, but nervous that no one will see past their very-non-combat Enhancement. Campion is eager to learn and put her mind to use, but terrified of anyone figuring out what exactly she can do.

Claise is a shy but determined high noble whose rare but versatile Enhancement could be as much a danger as an asset.

Robyn is a human disaster whose personality is outshone only by his eyeshadow.

Certainly, none of them expected their enrollment in the school to lead to a battle against the most powerful people on both planets. And they DEFINITELY didn't expect it to lead to so many cactus puns. But they'll have to put aside their apprehensions and learn to work together, because the stakes are high and there doesn't seem to be anyone else around for the job.

After all, how could beings from a flat planet with only one side, beings with powers so numerous and so specific that you'd need a spreadsheet to understand them, save the world?

But maybe these mere teenagers have a chance. Because with everything they care about on the line, from their homes to their families to their supply of eyeshadow, they might just have the drive to pull this off. After all, you'd be surprised by just how far overdramatic, anxious, sleep-deprived, disaster-prone teens can go to avoid doing their schoolwork.
