Fen Zericho has a way of making the most of disasters. After all, when living as a criminal with only her brothers for company, she figures it's best to embrace the chaos, get what she can out of it, and hope things don't get worse.

If she'd known just how much worse things could get, Zericho would never have agreed to help an annoying noble and a lonely pirate steal one of the Queen’s most prized possessions. But if she'd never stepped into the darkness, she would never have found the most brilliant disasters of her life.

Maybe, that’s a sacrifice worth making.
